The C Project
The C Revolution project was a joint initiative implemented by three international partners: Fundacja Innowacyjnej Edukacji (Poland), Teatro Metaphora (Portugal) and the Association for Circus, Education and Culture - CIK (Slovenia).

The project targeted youth workers and trainers working with young people in the field of social inclusion, as well as young people themselves, including those involved in entrepreneurship and active citizenship pathways. The core aim of The C Revolution was to create and test a practical social inclusion manual built on the synergy of three participatory performing arts approaches: Commedia dell’Arte, Social Circus and Theatre of the Oppressed.
This methodology supported both the competence development of youth workers and the active engagement of young people in inclusion-oriented actions within their local communities.

The project was grounded in the idea that the arts - and especially performing arts - were uniquely equipped to bridge the gap between what we know, what we feel and how we act. Performing arts went beyond awareness-raising and contributed to co-creation, dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
In the context of social inclusion, this “humanistic response” was essential: it recognised human experience, emotions, values and subjectivity as key elements of learning and change.
Participatory approaches such as Commedia dell’Arte, circus pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed provided accessible, engaging and embodied tools that helped young people explore social issues, build empathy, develop agency and practice inclusive behaviours.

The project was co-funded by the European Union.
