The methodology developed through Commedia dell’Arte, Theatre of the Oppressed and Social Circus aims to empower youth workers to strengthen young people’s agency and motivate them to take action for social inclusion. By combining these three complementary artistic approaches, the project united youth workers from within and beyond the partnership to create an engaging, practice-based methodology that can be applied at local level with diverse groups of young people.

The project introduced an innovative and alternative approach to social inclusion by using embodied, participatory and creative tools that work well in non-formal education and reduce barriers linked to language, confidence or previous experience. The methodology was designed to build participants’ competences and support their personal and professional development. It strengthens inclusive facilitation skills, communication, teamwork and reflection, while also contributing to increased self-esteem, confidence and employability.
